Help for anesthesia staff using the NextUP Schedule app

First stop: your own scheduler

Most questions are about your schedule rather than the app — a shift that looks wrong, time off that has not been approved, hours that need correcting. Your hospital's scheduler or department administrator can fix those directly and far faster than we can. They control the schedule; we only provide the software.

Common questions

I cannot sign in.

Use the same email address your hospital has for you. If you have never set a password, use "Request an account" on the sign-in screen, or ask a scheduler to invite you.

I am not getting notifications.

Open Notifications in the app and check push is on for this device, then check NextUP Schedule is allowed to send notifications in your phone's Settings.

The app will not let me clock in.

Some hospitals require you to be on site to clock in. If you are at the hospital and it still refuses, tell your scheduler — they can correct the punch, and you can also submit a time correction from the Time clock screen.

What is the SOS button?

It sends an urgent help call to everyone working in house right now, with the operating room you are in, and calls the anesthesiologist in charge. Hold it for two seconds. If you fire it by mistake you can retract it for ten minutes, and everyone who was alerted is told.

How do I delete my account?

In the app: Menu → Account → Delete my account. This removes your login and access. Your shifts, time punches and pay history stay with your hospital, which needs them for payroll — ask a scheduler if you also want to come off the roster.

NextUP Schedule is not for medical emergencies involving patients. Use your hospital's normal emergency procedures.
