NextUP Schedule is scheduling software for hospital anesthesia teams. It is provided to you by your employer or the group that staffs your department. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and who controls it.
Your hospital or anesthesia group decides what work records are kept about you — your schedule, hours and pay information. They are the controller of that data. NextUP operates the software on their behalf and does not sell it, rent it, or use it for advertising.
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Email address, name, and (if you provide it) phone number | To create your login and let colleagues identify you on the schedule. |
| Your work records — shifts, time clock punches, time-off, wage and contract settings | These are the product. They are supplied and managed by your employer. |
| Precise location, only at the moment you clock in or out, and only if your hospital has switched on location check-in | To confirm you are on site. The coordinates and your distance from the hospital are stored on that clock-in record so your employer can verify attendance. Your location is not tracked at any other time, and never in the background. |
| Messages you send in the app, including emergency help calls | To deliver them to your team. They form part of your hospital's operational record. |
| Device push token | To deliver notifications to your phone. Removed when you sign out. |
The app does not collect patient information. It holds no diagnoses, no treatment records and no patient identifiers. An emergency help call carries an operating-room number, never a patient's details.
There is no advertising, no analytics sold to third parties, and no tracking of you across other apps or websites.
NextUP uses service providers to run the app: Supabase (database and authentication), Cloudflare (hosting and content delivery), and Apple Push Notification service — plus Google Firebase Cloud Messaging for Android devices — to deliver notifications. They process this data on our instructions only.
Your employer sets how long work records are kept, and may be legally required to retain payroll and hours records for several years. Account information is kept while your account exists.
You can delete your account from inside the app: Notifications settings → Delete my account. This permanently removes your login, profile, hospital access, notification settings, saved devices and any calendar feed links, and signs you out immediately.
Your work records remain — your shifts, time punches and pay history stay on your hospital's schedule, and messages you sent stay in their threads. Those belong to your employer, which needs them for payroll and is often legally required to keep them. To be removed from the roster itself, ask a scheduler or administrator at your hospital.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of personal information held about you, and to be free from discrimination for exercising those rights. Because your employer controls your work records, requests about them are best directed to your hospital or group. For anything the app itself holds, contact us below and we will help.
Data is encrypted in transit. Access is restricted so that people can only see records for hospitals they belong to, enforced by the database itself rather than only by the app.
NextUP Schedule is a workplace tool and is not directed at children.
